Xiaomi Redmi Note 14 Pro+

The Redmi Note range has long been the budget benchmark, and the 14 Pro+ continues it with a 200MP main camera, a curved 120Hz AMOLED and genuinely rapid charging for the money. The chip handles everyday use and moderate gaming without complaint. The camera resolution is more marketing than substance — results are good for the price, not flagship-grade — and the software needs the usual pruning. Outstanding specification per pound if you shop on value and can accept Xiaomi's software habits.
