Two separate things cover a product you buy from Voltway: the manufacturer's warranty, and our own 30-day replacement promise. They overlap for the first month.
Voltway's 30-day replacement promise
For 30 days from delivery, if a product is faulty, we replace it ourselves — no manufacturer service centre, no diagnosis queue. Email , we send a prepaid label, and the replacement ships as soon as the faulty unit is scanned by the carrier. If we can't replace it because it's out of stock, you get a full refund.
This covers dead-on-arrival units, faults that appear in normal use, and anything that doesn't match its listing.
The manufacturer's warranty
After 30 days, warranty service goes through the manufacturer. Coverage is whatever the manufacturer states for that product — commonly 12 months on consumer electronics, and longer on some components; solid-state drives in particular are often covered for 3 to 5 years. The exact term is printed in the box and published on the manufacturer's support site.
What this means in practice:
- You don't need us to make a claim. Contact the manufacturer's support directly — it's faster.
- We'll help if you'd rather not. Send us your order number and we'll tell you the coverage term for that product and how to open a claim.
- Keep your order confirmation. It's your proof of purchase date, and manufacturers ask for it.
What warranty doesn't cover
Accidental damage, liquid damage, cosmetic wear, damage from unauthorised repair, consumables such as batteries past their rated cycle count, and problems caused by third-party software. Voltway does not sell extended warranties or accidental damage plans.
Batteries
Batteries in laptops, phones, tablets and watches lose capacity with use — that's normal and not a fault. Manufacturers typically treat a battery as defective only if it drops below 80% of its rated capacity within the warranty period.
