HP EliteBook 840 G11

The EliteBook 840 is HP's fleet answer to the ThinkPad T-series, and it competes on security tooling rather than keyboard feel. Hardware-enforced firmware protection, a privacy screen option and a physical camera shutter come as standard, which is why it appears on so many corporate purchase lists. The 14-inch display is bright and matte, sensible for open-plan offices. Serviceability is good: the bottom panel opens for battery and SSD. It is unremarkable to use in the best sense — nothing about it will surprise a fleet administrator, which is the point.
