Apple iPhone SE (3rd generation)

The SE is the cheapest way into iOS and the last iPhone with a home button and Touch ID, which some people specifically want. The 4.7-inch display and large bezels look dated, and battery life is the weakest in the range. But the chip inside is a genuine flagship processor, so it is fast and will receive updates for years. Single rear camera, no night mode. Recommended only if you want a small phone, physical Touch ID, or the lowest possible entry price into iOS.
