Apple iPad (A16)

The entry iPad covers browsing, streaming, schoolwork and video calls without complaint, and the price is the point. The display is not laminated, so there is a visible gap under the glass that stylus users notice immediately. It supports only the first-generation Pencil equivalent. Battery and build are otherwise very good. If nobody in the house is drawing seriously, this does ninety percent of what the Air does for considerably less.
