Apple AirPods Max

The AirPods Max are beautifully made from aluminium and steel, and they sound superb — spacious, detailed and even-handed in a way few wireless headphones manage. Spatial audio with head tracking is the most convincing implementation available. Two problems: they weigh 385g, which is heavy enough to notice after an hour, and the fabric case offers no real protection while being the only way to reach low-power mode. Expensive. For sound quality and build within the Apple ecosystem, still unmatched.
